At The Acreage, just outside Lincoln, Nebraska, this summer wedding had all the makings of a secret garden: lush floral arches, thoughtful whispers of personal details, beautiful food, cosy lamplight, and music filling the evening.
For this couple, none of it was about being the center of attention. They wanted to be present, to enjoy their people, to eat good food and dance to live music — to actually experience the wedding they’d spent so much time creating.
And they did.
Private vows in their pjs. Cocktails featuring their cats. Passed table nosh and toasts woven throughout the evening. Every choice made for a reason, making the whole celebration — and their film — feel entirely their own.

This couple had their wedding their way. Romantic, playful, and deeply personal. They exchanged private vows in their pjs, gave their cats a charming nod on the custom cocktail menu, and filled the evening with incredible food and a killer live band.
But beneath all the beautiful details was something even more important: they wanted their guests to feel loved. To eat well, laugh often, linger a little longer, and have a night worth remembering.
Truly, it was a celebration that felt elevated without feeling precocious — beautifully designed, completely personal, and full of the kind of energy you can't manufacture, even if you tried.
